An assigned workplace in a private school, according to the applicant's preference, experience, and qualifications. Sagan Speak mainly supports client schools with lead teachers. Applicants must, at a minimum, have knowledge and experience in creating teaching plans and tests, as well as in conducting evaluations. The workplaces offered will suit applicants who intend to live in Tokyo or the surrounding areas by April 2026. ―≫CANDIDATES should meet the following minimum REQUIREMENTS: Be able to start the position in April 2026. Please provide your earliest start date. Have native English-level proficiency. Have a Bachelor’s degree or higher. Have a teaching certificate (e.g., TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, or higher) for regular ESL courses. Have experience teaching in Japan, preferably at Japanese schools. Currently reside in Japan and possess a valid work visa. ―≫CANDIDATES wishing to apply to teach a subject other than ESL should: Have home country teaching experience in the subject they want to teach. Have the appropriate teaching qualifications. ―≫Our IDEAL CANDIDATE will also: Be flexible and have good communication and interpersonal skills. Be creative and willing to try new ideas. Have an excellent knowledge of the subject being taught. Be an excellent team player. Have an interest in and a minimum understanding of the Japanese school system. Be reliable and punctual. ―≫FULL, SEMI-FULL-time employment : Contract Period: April 2026 ~ March 2027. Workplace: Private Japanese School (elementary, junior or high school level) Location: Kanto area. Mainly Tokyo, Saitama, Chiba, and Kanagawa. Contract Type: Dispatch. Direct. Teaching Schedules : ①Full-Time 5 weekdays. Monday to Friday. ②Full-Time 4 weekdays and Saturdays. ③Semi-Full Time 3 or 4 work days between Monday to Saturday. Contracted time 08:30~16:30/17:00 (Up to 8 hours of work per day). Monthly remuneration for full-time (5 work days): Offered in the range of 275,000 to 350,000 yen /month (before withholding tax). Salary according to the candidate’s qualifications and experience, work schedule, responsibilities and duties. Monthly remuneration for full-time teaching (5 work days) as a science or math teacher in a STEAM program will be rewarded with higher pay scales based on the responsibilities and duties set by the individual workplace.
