Part-time English Teacher at a private Jun/Sen HS in Yokohama
A private jun/sen high school in Yokohama seeks a part-time English teacher for the next school year starting in April 2026, on a one-year contract basis. The renewal of the contract in the following years is possible with a mutual agreement. A new teacher would be asked for 12-16 lessons and meetings a week. Their class is based on their curriculum, to be taught mostly solo, including a few lessons by team-teaching. This is not an ALT position. The returnee students and IB based learners are included in the class. Quick feedbacks in the class are expected in the class. Salary: approximately 250,000 yen per month, or 3,000,000 yen per year -During the students' holiday season, the monthly salary will be paid. Working days and hours: based on the timetable and school calendar -three or four days on weekday -working hours of one of weekdays is for 8:30-16:45 (1 hour break) -13-15 Saturdays annually Day off: most Saturdays, all Sundays, and national holidays, others based on the school calendar Holiday: paid holiday after the first 6 months Commuting allowance is paid separately Visa Sponsorship is available Requirement: a current resident in Japan a holder of bachelor’s degree or more experience in teaching at high school in Japan IB background is preferred love to interact with students proactively communication skills with other teachers collaboratively Good command of Japanese would be favorable for communication with teachers Brain Academy Inc is in charge of the first candidate screening on behalf of the school.
